Extended Absence and Vacations

If you plan to be away for any length of time, such as vacation or a college break, please send a message to your manager to let us know how long you will be gone and where you can be reached in case of emergency. We will be happy to keep an eye on your apartment to make sure there are no leaks or other maintenance problems that come up.

If you have a thermostat in your apartment, turn your thermostat down a few degrees in the cold months to save fuel, and unplug all other heating devices such as baseboard heaters or portable oil radiators. Do not turn your main heat completely off, or you may cause your pipes to freeze and burst. If it is during the warm months, you may turn your air conditioning completely off in order to save on your energy bills.
