Your security deposit cannot exceed the equivalent of one months' rent, regardless of the number of tenants. The deposit will be held in a Maryland bank account that earns simple interest as required by law.

Within 45 days after Moving Out, the Owner will return the deposit with interest, minus any lawful deductions for unpaid rent or damages. A written list of any deductions will be provided.

Tenants may request a move-out inspection by giving written notice at least 15 days before moving. The security deposit may not be used as rent, even at the end of tenancy.
