If your apartment does not already contain air conditioning, you are allowed to install appropriate A/C units in your windows, provided you meet the following regulations:
- You are responsible for providing your own A/C units.
- Management takes no responsibility for the installation or proper operating of your A/C units.
- Do not install units rated more than 10,000 BTUs.
- Units should have an energy efficiency rating (EER) of at least 9, and should pull no more than 15 amps.
- You are responsible for the installation of your own air conditioners.
- You will be held responsible for any damages to the premises and/or the building as a result of installing and operating the A/C units.
Unfortunately, due to liability concerns, management is unable to install air conditioners for you.
