Below is a compilation of our policies regarding keys.

Receiving Keys

When you first move into your apartment, we may issue you various keys to your apartment.

  • You are issued one key or key fob per resident for access to the main entrances of your building.
  • We issue a maximum of two keys per mailbox regardless of the number of occupants of an apartment. See the section on Extra Keys, below.
  • If your building has keyless entrances, you will not be issued a key to your apartment, as keypad locks do not require them. For more information, see Keyless Entrances below.
  • You may also be issued a trash key and a courtyard key, if applicable.

Extra Keys

For security reasons, we do not issue multiple keys in excess of the number of occupants of a unit.

  • If you have lost an entrance key, see the section on Lost Keys below.

Home Service Provider Access

If you have a dog walker/pet sitter or a housekeeping service who needs to enter the building when you aren't home, see our policies on Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters and Housekeepers respectively.

Keyless Entrances

Most of our buildings have keypad locks on each unit door that use a personal pin number to activate. For more information on our keyless locks and how to use them, see Keyless Entrances

Lockouts

If you are locked out, you may schedule a lockout service during regular business hours by logging into your account. If you are locked out after hours, you may call our emergency lockout service for assistance. Emergency lockout service is provided on a case-by-case basis, and additional fees will apply. For more information on our lockout policy, see Lock Outs.

Lost Keys

Please see our policy on Replacement Keys.
